Earthquake near Barbados Today

The news reported this morning that a magnitude-6.5 earthquake struck northeast of Barbados jolting thousands from their sleep but causing no reported damage or casualties. It also was felt in the nearby French Caribbean island of Martinique.

 

It's good to know there was no reports of damage or casualties.

 

I was just wondering whether anyone who is presently on a cruise in that area felt or saw anything.

Some folks on the island felt it

particularly those living up near the North end of the island.

 

Essentially it is/was Much Ado About Nothing

the usual media hype. No damage reported.

What was felt HERE on the island was prob. a Cat. II or III ?

 

My wife and I felt nothing

although people in our neighbourhood who were on top floors felt it.
