Trieste instead of venice

Anyone heard that Venice is now being changed to Trieste ? TA says our April cruise is being changed?:mad:

Venetian authorities trying to keep large ships out of the city and the Grand Canal. Check the Crystal board.

For some reason there are two threads on this. The OP had her TA double check and her cruise will sail out of Venice.

 

They are cutting back 20% but that should not affect many Regent cruises since there are so many other ships going in and out of Venice. They will ban "large" ships in the future -- fortunately neither Crystal or Regent meet or exceed the limit in terms of being a "large" ship.
