Hi,

We will be leaving the Eclipse and going straight to

the Constellation, just a quick question,

Will Celebrity allow us to stay on board with the B2B guests

and also will they transport us to the Constellation or will we

need to grab a taxi.

Thanks#

No, you will need to depart the first ship by 10 am at the latest... you will be on your own for transporting belongings and yourself to the other ship. Just hail a cab at the cab line and let him know what you are doing and where you are headed.

We went from Eclipse to Oasis, Oasis to Century. In both cases transportation was provided by the cruise line. There is also a parking garage opposite Eclipse with a bus transferring people to various ships. At he end of this back to back we will be moving from Century to Constellation and expect a voucher as well.

However the transfer so far has been by bus. This means waiting for the airport bus to fill up and then dropped off before the bus continues to the airport. The transfer from Oasis to Independence then Liberty then Century took an hour. A ten $ taxi ride would have been a good alternative.

… the taxi waiting line was very long when we disembarked at 10….

Last month we did a same day transfer from RCI Independence to RCI Allure (different cruise line, but owned by the same corporation). RCI provided a free transfer on a bus headed to the airport - the bus left Independence with people using paid transfers to the airport plus us and others headed to Allure, stopped at Allure to drop us and pick up more airport passengers who had paid for airport transfers. We were responsible for our own luggage transfer on the bus. I would assume that Celebrity offers similar; ask at Guest Relations on board. If that doesn't work, the taxi is relatively inexpensive.

We did a B2B on the Reflection and Constellation last March. Asked at the Guest Relations desk, Captain Club Host and Concierge desk. Got the same answer. We were told that we were welcome to,stay on the ship until 10 and that we could also use our bev pack privledges. Getting to the other ship was up to us. We also had to transport our own luggage. We got off, picked up our luggage, went thru customs and walked over to the next terminal to the Reflection, gave out luggage to a porter and went to get in line for check in. Since we were so early we had to sit in a holding area. When we did get on board none of the resturants were open. We claimed a seat in the buffet and when the counters finally opened it was a mad house. Our original plans were to have lunch in the Bistro but a worker said that they weren't going to be open. We said that we would wait and she said that they would not be serving lunch. So we left only to find out later that they were open as we walked by but empty probably because of that idiot.

They used to provide free transfers between ships to B2B passengers up through the middle of last year, even transfers between Celebrity cruises and RCI cruises.

They would even comp the overnight hotel if you had a night between cruises.

Then when we asked after that, we were told that the policy has changed and they no longer provide that service.

But now I see that TravelerThom received a free transfer only last month.

So what is the policy?

Is it an official company policy or does it vary from location to location?

Or does it vary depending on which individual you ask?

If the Celebrity rep who posts here from time to time sees this thread, maybe we will get an official answer.

Were the transfers provided between the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale cruise ports or only within the same city.

They comped our transfer between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale a few years ago.

Don't know what the policy is now.

We were comped an overnight room a year ago [Jan 2013, must have cost RCCL some $] between Oasis (Port Everglades) and Freedom (Port Canaveral), but had to provide our own transport between the two ports (they would cover transport from the Orlando hotel to PC). We have been told this is no longer available.

Not sure what the official policy is, but the transfer from Independence to Allure would have been at essentially no cost to RCCL since a half full bus was already going between the two ships.
