St. John Beaches?

I've been to Trunk Bay on St. John on our last cruise & loved it. I currently have the cruise excursion to St. John booked where you have 3.5 hours of free time. I'd like to visit a beach for an hour or two (followed my lunch, drink or shopping in the Cruz Bay area) before catching the ferry back to St. Thomas. My question is: Is there a beach that you like better than Trunk Bay that's worth visiting? Ideally the taxi ride wouldn't be too long or expensive too. Thanks for any help!

There are a lot of great beaches on St. John where you could enjoy spending an hour or two, but not all of them have the facilities and amenities that you had access to at Trunk.

I have visited several beaches on St. John and my personal favorite is Cinnamon Bay, but all the beaches there are beautiful, you really can't go wrong. Here is a great site with reviews and videos for many of the beaches.

Cinnamon is as nice as Trunk, in my opinion. We have been to both. We are going to Caneel and/or Honeymoon this time. It is closer to where the ferry docks, if that matters to you.

The pictures of Cinnamon Bay look pretty amazing. How much approximately is the taxi from the ferry dock to this beach? And how far of a ride is it? It looks like there's at least a snack bar to get food & drink there? Thank you!

Cinnamon is $7 each way per person from Cruz Bay. There is a restaurant and bar as well as a concession stand. Cold showers and a bathroom, too.
