Valor Cabin 7434 and 7439, Stairs ?

We are thinking of booking one of the extended balcony cabins on the Valor. Are they very noisy? It seems that the stairs near the bed/cabin wall would be noisy during certain times? I have seen a few reviews on how much people liked the extra balcony space but nothing really on the room. It would just be two of us, with two teens across the hall.

(Bump) Anyone? or how about any of the Fantasy class ships that have these stairwells behind them?

We were just on the Valor 1/19/14 sailing and had room 7434. Loved it! No noise from the stairs at all. If you have any noise, it's going to come from your neighbors' balconies. The room itself was very quiet. ;)

Thank you. We always bring ear plugs when we travel but when I saw the stairs I wanted to make sure there were no issues with noise.

Photo is the same balcony on Carnival Destiny (now Sunshine). We booked it again on Carnival Valor and have it booked on the Carnival Dream in September. We love this room. Large balcony at regular price. Can't beat that! :D

Those stairs are for emergency/crew only they are not open to general public. We had a similar cabin on the Pride. You will be fine.

You will love 7434! Absolutely no noise from the stairs. The huge balcony is awesome!

Ok, Perfect. Thanks to all of you for your input. Now hopefully it will still be avail. when we are on board next month so we can get ES and the OBC.

Oh one other question. What happens if ES rate drops? Does this just fall in the regular balcony category?
