Montego bay port?

Is there anything at all at the Montego bay port? Wasn't planning on getting off the ship unless there are some shops or bars, etc AT the port, just to *window shop*, buy some Ting, and maybe enjoy some Jerk and Red Stripe :).

Not really and it also depends where you dock. When we were there a few months ago, Carnival was docked at the regular dock and we were docked kinda across on the side from it. We had to take a bus from our dock, through the "warehouse, commercial-looking buildings" over to the Carnival dock just to get a taxi ride out of there.

So, if you dock where we did, there won't be any shopping there and will have to to the bus over to the regular dock. (Even though this is the ONLY way to get over there, they still bug you for a "tip"). The place is UGLY!

You come off the ship and there's a wired fence. You walk in the dirt here in front to the blue building and go in it.

You come out of the blue building here on the side (where the doors are open)

You get in one of these buses to take you around the buildings and over to the other side.

Once you get over to the other building, it's just a building with a few shops in it.

Um... Lovely :/. Thanks so much for your reply, mitsugirly. It doesn't look like it's really worth getting off the ship. I actually want the Ting more than anything else, so maybe I can convince some poor soul to bring some back onboard for me.
