Natitude61 Posted February 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2014 Received a Future Cruise Certificate good for the equivalent of one-night stay from RCI, thanks to my bout with noro. I'm thankful and appreciative of the offer, but the certificate states that it expires Feb 2015. As much as I would love to cruise before then, the fact of the matter is that I probably won't be able to. I do, however, have a cruise booked for April 2015. Before I try calling and sitting on hold for a while, has anyone received one of these and had any luck getting the expiration date moved? Before I try calling and sitting on hold for a while, has anyone received one of these and had any luck getting the expiration date moved? Does it say you must complete the cruise by then, or make the reservation by then? Even final payment date is months in advance of cruise date, so if you're thinking you can cruise in April, you should probably call and ask them - final payment would be due before the February expiration date and the certificate is part of the "payment" so... Natitude61 Posted February 26, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted February 26, 2014 No, that's what I was hoping, but it explicitly states that cruise must be taken by then... Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

Oops, can't help you then - although I'd definitely call and ask, can't hurt, all they can do is tell you no. Are you in C&A? That's who I'd try to call... CruisingTeacher19 Posted February 26, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 26, 2014 I have no experience myself but have seen someone out on here they were able to get it extended by calling and asking. Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk
molly361 Posted February 26, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) I had one that had the sail by date as expiration and I called the Corporate guest relations office and they changed the expiration date to book by date. Natitude61 Posted February 26, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted February 26, 2014 Good news and bad news... Good news -- just got off the phone and they are applying it to the booked cruise. Bad news -- now I don't have an excuse for booking another one before then :) Thanks for the responses!
