9 night Southern on Explorer next February. The deal was too good to pass up, plus no flight and ridiculously prices hotel room in San Juan, and we're trying a PR for the first time. We got a NextCruise certificate on Freedom earlier this month, but didn't anticipate using it quite so quickly, lol.

Very nice itinerary. I hope Royal finds a way to keep doing the Southern Carib out of Florida.

Completely agree! We've wanted to do another Southern for a while now, and as much as I love San Juan, hotel prices really are out of control. We're basically getting two extra days onboard for what a hotel would have cost us for one night in SJ.

 

Really hoping they can work something out for Southern cruises long term with the Port Canaveral work I keep hearing about. We could do Miami/Ft. Lauderdale if needed, but Canaveral is just a quick drive for us, we'll probably drive down that morning.

Me too!! I am on board the 12/4 9 night Explorer cruise. And actually will on

Explorer for the very first time just before that during the first week of September

doing the 9 night NE cruise! :)

 

Really like just taking a 10 minute taxi ride to the port from my house

cruising out of PC though!! ;)

 

I totally agree that I hope RCI keeps longer cruises out of here as an option!

Very interesting. I am thinking about doing this cruise as well, I want to try the Southern Caribbean, Just wondering how the Exploer of the Seas compares to some of the other ships out there, has it been refurbished at all

The longer cruises out of Florida are really great. It would be fantastic if RC would add a 14 night cruise too!
