fefe Posted March 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2014 We're sailing Western Caribbean on N. Amsterdam this Sunday March 9th! Can anyone tell me the formal nights? Holland tells me they don't know which nights, it's up to the captain and can change. Thanks so much for any info!
Saphire Posted March 4, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2014 We just completed a western Caribbean cruise on the Nieuw Amsterdam. Formal nights were Monday, Day 2 (Half Moon Cay) and Friday, Day 6 (Sea Day). Enjoy your cruise!

dr.dawg Posted March 4, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 4, 2014 booked on b2b from 3-23 through 4-6. hope forms re on seadays. four forms, we booked canaletto; other times tamarind and pinnacle. will not do dress for formal nights. if this changes, we'll eat in our room. or get a sandwidch somewhere -- absolutely no dressing for formal nights. it is a charade to pretend to be having decent food. ugh. dr.dawg Posted March 5, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 5, 2014 to the cont rary. there are four sea days on this itinerary; and an assumption was made -- maybe wrong -- that these would be 'formal night' days. hence dining at canaletto four nights, and other venues when formal wear was not required. don't be so quick to judge.
