A quick tip I learned with my kids. ... if you order cereal from the breakfast menu add milk.... we thought logically.... it's cereal you need milk. ... but nope... my husband had to run up to the buffet to grab milk!

Oh, I am loving this thread! I have been on a bunch of CCL cruises and we have ordered coffee and danish "on the door" a few times for breakfast, but NEVER any other time of the day. DH isn't interested and I can't use the phone, so I miss out on all this yummy stuff every cruise! :(:( Poor me! :p I am DEFINITELY having a BLT for breakfast on our next cruise! ;) One tip if you are ordering cream for breakfast coffee: order extra cream. When we were on Splendor last week they brought little "tumblers" of cream that had about a teaspoon in them. We ordered coffee for 2, but cream for 4 and it worked out perfectly! Now I have to show DH the picture of that chocolate cake and maybe that will convince him to order room service the next time! ;);)

On some of the newer ships, you can also order room service directly from the TV.

Thanks for letting me know, but I was on Splendor and they "claim" you can order it on tv and I had my normal cruise week battle with the remote and I just could NOT get the "program" to come up.:mad::mad::mad: It's very aggravating! Just to get the dining room menus and our sign and sale accounts up I had to wrestle the remote to the ground each time lol.:confused:

Three questions:

1) I don't see any breakfast items on the menu. Are there?

2) How long does it take from call to delivered?

3) Do you have to be in your room for them to deliver it?

Thanks,

JT

We are just off the Magic:

1) no breakfast items other than juice, bagels, etc

2) from call to delivery was about 5 mins

3) yes, you have to be in your room!

I am an early riser, so I love to order a Bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon! I go sit on the balcony and enjoy it while DH and DS are sleeping. 10 more days until I get to do this! Woohoo! Can't wait!

Been on 3 cruises & have only ordered room service at breakfast. Going to have to try lunch or late night room service next time!

I've been on 50+ cruises and have only ordered room service two or three times for breakfast and that was way back when I first started cruising. Just something I personally don't care to use.

DH wakes up early everyday so we get room service breakfast. And every night we get something too. DH loves the BLT's & I like the Shrimp sandwich and "steak" sandwich.

Never had the chocolate cake or cookies. Bet my DH would love them!

Can't wait to have room service again in November!

Thanks for this thread! I'm sailing this weekend and will definitely partake. Been on this same itinerary before so it's nothing but R&R and some great food. Looking forward to sampling a little something each day.

This may be a dumb question, but don't they have a breakfast menu. We like to order room service on port days, but all I saw on the menu are sandwiches?

Yes...You should read the whole thread...there is info on combining the Room Service menu with the Room Service Breakfast Menu...below Room Service Breakfast Menu is from Page 2 of this thread

Love this threat! Just came off the Legend a few weeks ago and we ordered PB&J, BLT and grilled cheese sandwiches every afternoon! They were better than what they were serving at the buffet! Although they normally took between 30-45 mins since we were ordering them when everyone was coming back on the boat.

  • 3 weeks later...

OMG! I hate this thread! We sail in a week and I thought I had my dining and drinking plotted out. Where am I going to cram in chocolate cake, cookies and milk, shrimp BLT, Strip Steak sandwich, etc etc etc?!?! But I see that I must make room somehow for MORE food. :(

Cruising is a tough life, but I think I'll be up to the challenge ;)

Thanks to all of you for posting menus and pics. We have never ordered room service, but will now be sure to pack some extra dollars for tips.
