adirondacksailor Posted March 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2014 Are double points given to solo cruiser only when paying full 100% single supplement, or are they received when paying any additional single supplement?
Merion_Mom Posted March 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2014 (edited) Are double points given to solo cruiser only when paying full 100% single supplement, or are they received when paying any additional single supplement? If you are sailing solo in a "regular" cabin, you get the double points. (triple in JS or above). How much you paid does not affect this. The only situation in which you DON'T get the double points is one of the designated "single" cabins. Some have been added to Serenade (and possibly other ships ?), and there are Studio Interiors (SI) and Studio Balconies (SB) on the Quantum. No double points there. croozer Posted March 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2014 I seem to remember there was a Crown and Anchor booklet or coupons or something. If you paid double, do you get two coupon booklets?

ARCruisinNana Posted March 5, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2014 I seem to remember there was a Crown and Anchor booklet or coupons or something. If you paid double, do you get two coupon booklets? No paper coupon books anymore. Coupons are added to your seapass card.
JPEvans Posted March 5, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2014 I'm sailing on the Independence of the Seas on a Eastbound Transatlantic in. May. I'm sailing solo, but got a steal of a deal And I'm paying no single supplement. I assumed that I would not Get double points. Because I'm only paying one fare. looking4info Posted March 5, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 5, 2014 (edited) Carol, is this post still valid? Not Carol but I just booked a solo on the Majesty and I received the 150% and a military rate so this may no be accurate. Two connecting OV's about half the cost of a JS. No balcony but it is only 4 days. 6. Solo cruisers with 350 points or more will NOT be able to combine the 150% cruise fare benefit with a residency rate, a military/EMT rate or a senior rate. You may choose whichever is most advantageous for you Edited March 5, 2014 by looking4info
CRUISEBOY305 Posted March 5, 2014 #10 Share Posted March 5, 2014 I know a couple of people that use there 150% Diamond plus discount and they still get double points. I just recently did a cruise on Majesty with the 150% single supplement on a Junior suite and got the triple points. I think the only instance where you wouldn't get the double points is if you book an SI or SB category.
TubbyMrT Posted March 5, 2014 #11 Share Posted March 5, 2014 I think that it is also dependent on the room you booked and paid and not the room to which you may have been upgraded. Balcony upgraded to JS by RCCL would not get triple I think.

In my case I paid for the junior suite it just so happens when I booked it, it had a reduced single supplement. I still paid for the junior suite though. I hope so. However a lot of us on that sailing did not pay a single supplement. It would be nice to get double points. But since I didn't pay over a one person price. Not sure why RCCL would give double points to me. But I could be wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
taninaus Posted March 25, 2014 #15 Share Posted March 25, 2014 you may have to chase your additional credit after the cruise - mine weren't applied automatically, but were applied after I raised the issue with C&A
