Celebrity Newbie Questions

Hey Everyone,

 

We've always cruised RCCL and are thinking of booking our first Celebrity cruise today. Have some newbie X questions:)

 

1. Do the have the same 250.00/pp deposit? Same policy as RCCL that it's fully refundable if cancelled prior to final payment date?

 

2. We're looking at Reflection and discovered that the lifeboats impact balcony views. After looking at some images and searching posts here, it looks like if we want the best possible view "straight down" to the water we should book on the "hump" if available? And/or nearer the front of the ship. We're looking at deck 7 or 8 veranda, it looks like the higher the better to get away from those lifeboats? Maybe we're making too much of that, but after sailing royals ships where they've hidden the lifeboats from view, we aren't excited about being too close to them or having them impact the views.

2. Lifeboats primarily obstruct deck 6 in these categories: 2d and 2c

Choose a higher deck if above the lifeboats, forward and sunset verandah have the most direct view downwards, but other than 2d and 2c they really aren't a problem
