Has anyone added on a hotel to a cruise in New York City? If so do you feel it was worth the extra cost? Thank you in advance!

If you mean adding it on via NCL I would say just book a hotel on your own. Much more of a selection and cheaper too.

As a rule of thumb a hotel room through NCL costs $50-100 more than direct.

Much cheaper to book your own hotel independently of the cruise line.

I always book my hotel from Norwegian no matter what port I am using. I always get a transfer from the hotel to the ship which is included sometimes in the price of the hotel. I will say this, I travel solo so for me this is better.

I did mean through NCL. Thanks everyone for your help. I called NCL before we got a response here. I got a quote of 878.00 for a family of four for one night. We stayed at the same hotel three years ago for 210.00 for a family of four for one night. That is not a good deal at all.
