You can take a water taxi to Great Bay Beach downtown Philipsburg. Take the second stop and you will be able to rent chairs and umbrellas. Beach Bars and shopping is all right there.

Divi beach can have topless woman if that is offensive to you as it has many resorts. It is pass the peninsula on the far side from where the cruise port is in Great Bay thus will require a land taxi to get to. IMO the best option is the beach in Philipsburg. It's a very nice sandy beach with the downtown area right there for drinks, meals, casinos, shopping and other facilities. It not a good snorkeling beach but Divi is especially along the peninsula separating it from Great Bay.

The water taxi is $6 for an all day pass and leaves and returns right from the entrance area of the cruise piers so one could even return to the ship for lunch and to clean up after the beach, then return to the downtown area for some shopping, local touring or casino action in the afternoon. There are two drop off point in Philipsburg, the marina area on the east side of that town and the central downtown pier which was the docking location when paxs were tendered in from cruise ships before the cruise port was put in.

First time at this port & like a nice beach that is reasonable to get to, not interested in nude or topless. We are all 60-84

Little Bay would also be my suggestion for your group. It's truly a family/resort/cruiser beach and it's on the Dutch side so less nudity in general except for the bar at Sunset at Maho, and the Cliffs at Cupocoy which can have nudity of all sorts:)

This sounds good. Can you tell more about the beach? Chairs? Bathrooms? Rocky? Ocean or bay, calm or bigger waves? Clean? Good for familes?
