Maasdam Dining??????

Many people will post a preference between upper or lower. Sometimes they just like to sit there. There is no particular reason, they just like it.

As Peachy posted, preference revolves around dining time in most cases.

Thank you. I think we are Main Lower. We requested table for 4 by the window.

We usually sit upstairs and I kind of like the view of looking down and the pretty staircase. It is fun for people watching.

Only five more weeks!:)

Having tablemates you get along with is really nice, but people-watching can be an awful lot of fun, too. We watched one couple call the maitre d' over and change tables the first 4 nights! He finally got one he liked, but the other diners there never showed up again. :D

Preference usually revolve around the time pax wish to dine. Neither is 'better'. The most popular I would say are Lower Early and Upper Main because of the times, not the levels. :)

Upper Early: 5:45 PM

Lower Early: 6:15 PM

Upper Main: 8:00 PM

Lower Main: 8:30 PM

While the dining time is important to us in choosing Upper Main, it is also really nice to be on the same deck where we go to Ocean Bar before dinner. It is nice to not have to go up/down but able to stroll from our pre dinner drinks into the dining room. After dinner it's nice to stroll to Explorer's Lounge or Casino Bar or Casino or the shops. We don't often go to the shows.

I like our dining level to be the same level where so much else is located.

Sail,

I really like your points as to being on the upper seating. We are currently wait listed for any dining assignment:eek: , but most likely will get Upper early or lower main. Do you think we will have time for a coctail if we eat at 6:15, or are they going to have to "cart" us downstairs for dinner at 8:30, after such a lengthy one!:p

Our preference is to have a pre-dinner cocktail in the Crow's Nest and then head to dinner and show.

I just love looking out the windows in the Crow's Nest as if I own the whole dam ship!!!!!!

We had upper on the rail on the Ryndam and I agree it is fun to see both levels.

Either way the food is great!:)
