Lecturers on a TA

We did our first transatlantic cruise on Celebrity last year and really enjoyed attending talks by various speakers on the many sea days. I believe that there were about 6 speakers on board and there were often 3 or 4 interesting talks per day. We are booked on the Eurodam TA leaving this March 30. Can we expect a similar program on HAL?

On previous HAL crossings we have had several interesting lectures, although less than Celebrity it appears. Usually 2-3 guest lecturers who present various lectures throughout the sailing. If you miss an interesting one they replay them on the TV in your cabin throughout the remainder of the cruise.

 

Some of our favorite lectures were about Spanish history and culture, including everything from flamenco & bullfighting to the various religious influences over time. Other topics have included astronomy & physics, Hemingway, environmental/weather patterns to name a few. These are all in addition to the normal offerings of cooking classes/demos, dance classes, digital workshop etc. We have never been bored on a crossing:)

I think you can expect some interesting speakers and presentations.

 

On the Eurodam's late Summer re-positioning from Europe in 2013, a gentleman living in Iceland and an expert on the country's history, culture, and geology gave wonderful presentations on Iceland and Greenland. Wonderful photos made his lectures even more interesting.
