Luggage Storage in New Orleans???

We plan to exit RCCL Serenade of the Seas on Saturday, April 12, in New Orleans. We will have about 3 hours to "kill" before heading to the airport. I understand there is a BIG festival in Jackson Square that day, and we would like to go there, but need to put our luggage somewhere. I have heard of Advance Check In luggage service. Have any of you used them? Do you have any other suggestions? Is there a very close hotel to the pier where we might be able to pay the bellman to store it? Any ideas/suggestions are most welcome. Thank you.

There is luggage storage at the pier when you disembark - I clearly remember this as we just returned from our Serenade cruise. I think it is $7.00 per day, but don't quote me. ;)

Across the street and a couple of blocks west is a Marriott, we have had them store our luggage before after coming off the ship (flight wasn't until evening) & as Langley Cruisers said there is storage at the pier. If it is $7 a bag though that might get pricey. For us the Marriott was a good place to catch a cab to the airport but sounds like you'll be getting on so maybe pier storage is better.
