crisp1 Posted March 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2014 We prefer traditional dining and are booked on the 3/23 Royal. We started out at #120 when we booked last month and now are down to 88. I am wondering what our chances are to get early seating if we see the Maitre' D upon boarding, or should I just accept the fact that we'll either be moving around each night or making reservations
paul929207 Posted March 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2014 At this point, I would plan to board early and go see the Maitre 'd. He will be in one of the MDRs about 2pm or so. Location and time will be in the Patter.
timetravler Posted March 18, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2014 On embarking day they usually set up a time that you can go directly to a dinning room and try to change your dine time and such. So find out when that time is and go early so you can be in front of the line. You have a better chance if you go early. I have done this several times to reserve the chefs table and have gotten in 100% of the time that I tried.
Colo Cruiser Posted March 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2014 I think if you see the MD asap he will accomodate you.
hehny Posted March 18, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 18, 2014 You probably won't have a problem but we saw people on our cruise who had a standing reservation but were listed under anytime dining.
