LazyDays64 Posted March 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2014 Hi everyone! I'm looking for a new cover up for my bathing suit. Since I just got a new bathing suit, I need a new cover up, right? :D:p What do you ladies have? I have one from Land's End that zips up. I like to use it for when I walk to the ladie's room on the ship. It's not quite long enough to sit in, if I wanted to go to the buffet and sit for a bit. So, I was thinking of getting this one in the blue: http://www.alwaysforme.com/plus-size-dress-1150x.html This is the one I have from Land's End, in white: http://www.landsend.com/products/womens-cotton-jersey-roll-sleeve-cover-up/id_216203 I would also put on shorts and a t-shirt but my new bathing suit is a swimdress so that won't really work this time. And that should save some room in the suitcase which I'm trying really hard to do.

I don't know how to post pictures but my coverups are usually ones that I can also wear in the MDR on casual nights over my capri pants. I usually wear them in the MDR then as a coverup over my swimsuit and capri pant the next day. I have a whole lot of them. I love to shop for swimwear at the end of the season so that I get great deals!;) I hope you have a great trip!:D

That aqua color is perfect for my suit. Thanks :)
LazyDays64 Posted March 19, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted March 19, 2014 Thanks mousy! I can't wait for it to get here, especially after freezing all winter! It feels like it's never going to get warm. Thanks mimi and I'm glad I could help. :) I kind of wish I had it in a different color now, but, white goes with everything and I don't wear them often enough to buy another one in the same style. royalcruz Posted March 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 19, 2014 I really like the second one. It will accentuate your waist to give you shape.

LazyDays64 Posted March 19, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted March 19, 2014 diskids2, I'm glad you found a new website to explore. :D I believe I got that site from someone here on the board, in one of the swimsuit threads. Another site that is good is www.swimsuitsforall.com

LazyDays64 Posted March 20, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted March 20, 2014 Those are both really pretty! The first one looks like you could wear it as a maxi dress when not using it as a cover up. :)
kitty9 Posted March 20, 2014 #10 Share Posted March 20, 2014 What I love to wear as a coverup is a long, knit maxi dress. I found two of them that are really cute from Ulla Popken. Plus, I can put on one of those dresses and go to the lounge for trivia, or they look really nice to get off the ship at a port. They're lightweight and very cool and comfortable. Here's one: http://www.ullapopken.com/product/bi-directional+knit+empire+dress.do?sortby=ourPicks Here's another; http://www.ullapopken.com/product/pintucked+knit+tank+dress.do?sortby=ourPicks

CheckersMidwest Posted March 23, 2014 #12 Share Posted March 23, 2014 I have a couple of 'sundresses' -about knee length from Gordman's. They were $19.99. I had one last year that I just loved, it didn't wrinkle & I could put it on over my suit and it looked good to go from pool to bingo to buffet to casino. Last weekend, I bought 2 more for this year. :)
Ehpride Posted March 23, 2014 #13 Share Posted March 23, 2014 I use sundresses for cover ups. Although, I did buy a cute tube top dress in Cozumel last time I was there that isn't something I would wear just as a dress. It's probably the only thing that is a cover up only. For 8 bucks, it was worth it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

sjb317 Posted March 23, 2014 #15 Share Posted March 23, 2014 What ports are you going to? I've bought most of my cover ups at various "straw markets" in ports in the Caribbean, I've always found cheap prices, $10-$20 usually. The ones I have could be worn as sundresses, but I just throw them on over my suits. Sherri:)
hansolosmom Posted March 23, 2014 #16 Share Posted March 23, 2014 I like the one from Lands End mostly because it has pockets. For some reason I can't deal with a cover up with no pockets :). I also prefer the ones that open in the front rather than are a pull-over. I bought one from Lands End last year that's looks like a sleeveless dress, I love it
