Hello everyone, we are flying into MIA on 13th Nov and our cruise leaves Fort Lauderdale on the 14th Nov. We are going to stay in a Miami Airport hotel because we arrive quite late. We don't want to bring wine from the UK, would be our luck to have a spill!! Could anyone recommend a hotel which has a liquor store within walking distance so we can stock up before we head for the port. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hotels in the Blue Lagoon area near MIA have a local shopping center nearby (across the street from the Hampton Inn) with both a liquor store and a Publix Grocery store (with a surprisingly good wine selection).

You don't need a liquor store for wine. Wine and beer are sold almost everywhere. Any convenience store, drug store, gas station, grocery store, Walmart, Target, etc will sell wine.

You don't say where you are staying, so.....You can google your hotel's address and find nearby stores mentioned above. Or just wait till you get to the hotel and ask at their desk. If you are taking a cab to the port, you too can have it stop and wait while you shop. If shopping for common wine varieties, you can get them at the drugstores like Walgreens and CVS or at a large grocery store like Publix. You would only need the liquor store if looking for more variety or more costly ones.
