Kamloops50 Posted March 19, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2014 Are you able to make a dinner reservation for 12 in one of the MDR on the Gem? I would request two tables of 6 or 8 . A table for 12 is very rare and it will very crowded. The staff would prefer to service two tables of 6 .

m$m7 Posted March 20, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2014 We sailed on the Gem in February and had reservations for 13 in the MDR. We had one table for our group each night and it was no trouble. You just have to contact them and let them know in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Kerflop Posted March 20, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 20, 2014 Yeah, we had 32 folks with us for a wedding cruise. We sat in the same general area each night, with folks switching up seats and sitting with others each night. However, I think the biggest table we had available to us was 8 or so people. jdvmd Posted March 23, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 23, 2014 We had a group of 12 from our roll call on the Sun. Organizer made reservations that afternoon. We had to dine early - like 5:30 p.m. It was one big table.
Sika Dellick Posted March 23, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 23, 2014 Personally I would PREFER two smaller tables. That many at one table makes things too cluttered and you really can't enjoy a conversation since there will e so many different ones going on at one time. Many people do prefer the ,arge group as one tough. Just a (pardon the pun) matter of taste!
