Just my personal opinion, but I think that's a smart move. With all this chatter about rules not being enforced, while at the same time the limits are being enforced on other CCL ships, it's only a matter of time before the policy enforcement changes on board Cunard ships.

If you really want to avoid corkage fee, and only want one glass at dinner, then pinch a glass from one of the bars, fill it up in your room before you leave, and carry it into the restaurant. They can't tell if you filled it yourself or bought it from a bar while waiting for the restaurant to open. (So speaks the non-drinker!)

We have only taken wine (champagne) into the MDR once, to breakfast on Christmas morning and we weren't charged corkage.
