svsw Posted March 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2014 If Princess cancels a cruise, and assuming you had the Princess insurance - but did your own air arrangements -would the Princess insurance reimburse for new travel/flights and, if necessary, hotel costs? Usually with airfare. If you don't go on the flight, the airline will give you A credit for the amount of what you paid for your flight for a future Ticket. And you have a certain amount of time to rebook.
Pam in CA Posted March 23, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2014 If Princess cancels a cruise, and assuming you had the Princess insurance - but did your own air arrangements -would the Princess insurance reimburse for new travel/flights and, if necessary, hotel costs? If Princess cancels a cruise after final payment, they will refund the entire amount of your cruise fare within a week or two. They will also likely give you $100 to change your flight. This is irregardless of any insurance. Hotels usually have a 24-hour cancelation. If they don't, don't book the hotel. Princess insurance covers only what you have booked through Princess and does not cover independent hotel or air arrangements. Which makes sense since the cost of the insurance is based on your Princess invoice.
Colo Cruiser Posted March 23, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2014 They usually assist with changing/refunding independant air arrangements.
