dpugh965 Posted March 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2014 I saw a promotional commercial on you tube, that showed a rep. from carnival steakhouse with a cart of meats at table side, and you picked which entree you wanted off the selection of meats. They then cooked your selection. Do they still do this that way or do you just order off menu which selection you want.

You will get a menu, AND they will present the different cuts of meat to you tableside.
dpugh965 Posted March 24, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted March 24, 2014 Thanks Jamman... I think it will be nicer to actually see the steak before its cooked and be able to pick the one you want.
jamesr3939 Posted March 24, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 24, 2014 Yep, that's what they did for us in January. It really gives you a good look at the size of the cuts. The food is outstanding you will enjoy it. If you haven't booked you need to do the Chef's Table also. You can book it at the Steak House, which is what we did. jamesr3939 Posted March 24, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 24, 2014 BTW: I asked and received mine "Cajun", which was excellent and wasn't shown on the menu.
tandemcruzr Posted March 24, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 24, 2014 I don't think you actually get the meat that's on that tray. That tray goes to every table.

dpugh965 Posted March 25, 2014 Author #11 Share Posted March 25, 2014 The 24oz porterhouse does look nice. I could handle it no problem. If you ever go to the Sheraton Hotel and Casino in Tunica Ms, you will find my name on the wall for eating a 48oz porterhouse with a tater, salad, roll and piece of apple pie in 53 minutes...of course I didn't eat for 53 hours afterwards but it was a great steak. Mysticks1 Posted March 25, 2014 #13 Share Posted March 25, 2014 GREAT stuff!! But I really do miss the 24 oz. Porterhouse!! That steak looked wonderful. I could never eat one that size but I would liked to have tried. I have reservations for the Steakhouse on the Dream in May - we are boarding on Mother's Day so I decided to treat myself and eat there that night. It will be our first time to eat in a specialty restaurant on any cruise. I am looking forward to a great first meal onboard the Dream. :)

Rare jimbo5544 Posted March 25, 2014 #15 Share Posted March 25, 2014 That was by far the best one they had. It was the best, not sure if by far qualifies. The ribeye is an excellent cut of meat as well. I guess we are talking semantics here tho....

Mysticks1 Posted March 25, 2014 #20 Share Posted March 25, 2014 So, is the Ribeye the recommended cut out of what is offered now? I like mine med/well so Filet's don't work for me.

Since the porterhouse was eliminated, the ribeye has become my favorite. :)
