Westbank is bestbank Posted March 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2014 How far away from the ferry in Caye Caulker is a nice beach. Looking for a nice beach with a restaurant/bar.
overthehillcruiser Posted March 26, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2014 Caulker really does not have much beach. Everyone hangs out at the split, not far from water taxi. http://gocentralamerica.about.com/od/belizeguide/ss/CaulkerTour_8.htm
Westbank is bestbank Posted March 26, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted March 26, 2014 So if I'm looking for a beach then Goff's Caye is a better choice?
Rare crewsweeper Posted March 26, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) if that's all you want...beach and maybe a lounger and a bar for a Belekin and a watered down rum punch, then Goff's is a better choice. If you want to walk around, have a real drink in a real bar/restaurant, eat real food, not overpriced Belizean version of hamburgers and hotdogs, shop or window shop small craft stores, buy a nice cuppa joe or fresh pastry, then Caulker is your island.:):D Edited March 26, 2014 by crewsweeper

blue_water Posted March 28, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 28, 2014 We enjoyed the Lazy Lizard and the Split and the water views there are amazing. But no proper beach, I've read there are beaches near cabanas but we didn't check them out. Goff's Caye has a very nice small beach where you can enjoy the beautidul water. blue_water Posted April 4, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 4, 2014 (edited) Our vote goes to the island of San Pedro when it comes to nice beaches in Belize! We would go there on a land-based vacation in a minute. You could fly from BC and enjoy some time there while on a cruise...
