Confused about future cruise certificate

Just booked Epic for feb 2015. Used 1 certificate for deposit on aft balcony. Booked another room for my daughter ( also aft) regular room no suites, and used a second certificate.NCL casino rep insisted on an extra 175 dollars for deposit on second room. There are two adults and 1 child in the second cabin. I thought the certificate was good for the whole deposit on cabin when suites were not involved.

I questioned her about extra amount even reading rules on NCL page but she insisted extra amount was because of price of cabin. Huh?

I realize the money is going to paid eventually one way or another but I wasn't prepared with daughters credit card so of course it went on mine.

Can someone confirm? Is this because of third person in room?

I need to know because daughter number two is also booking using certificate and she needs to be prepared with extra deposit money if needed.

The CAS rep was incorrect...the Cruise Reward is all that is needed. I would call back and speak with a supervisor.

I have them for inside, oceanview and balcony with two to four people and didn't have to pay any extra.

I know you have to pay extra for some suites and above but not for balcony and below.

I thought it was strange. I think more things are wrong with reservation too. I have number but it does not show up in system and I have not received any emails with confirmation. I think I will have to call and talk to someone with a little more experience. My rep was super sweet but had to keep putting me on hold to check on things and I have never had this type of experience on other bookings. By the way this was not an upgrade through CAS it was a basic booking going through CAS just to save the ten percent.

Thanks for responses I feel a little better!

So to clarify, because I've never used an FCC. Yesterday I was doing a mock booking of the Escape TA on the NCL site for 2 people in an oceanview. It said a $400 deposit was required. If we buy an FCC on our upcoming cruise in May valued at $250, then that is all we would need for the TA cruise deposit? We wouldn't need to pay the $150 difference? I want to make sure I am understanding how this works correctly. Thanks.

You need to pay the difference with final payment.
