Do You Have Any Rituals Before You Cruise NCL

:o Drats! I've been doing it wrong all these years. I always thought you sacrifice crawdads for NOLA departures. No wonder. That explains a lot! How embarrassing. :confused:

1. Physically touch the following before leaving the house:

 

Passports, cash envelope, tickets, cell phone, wallet, wife.

 

2. Apply Neosporin to bruise for inappropriate and unapproved touching of wife.

 

Thanks for the reminders! Did a quick check and realized I had contacted all my credit card companies and bank but had forgotten one...............American Express! Heaven only knows why I put it where I did, but sure was glad to see it.

 

Hope you heal quickly and I'll bet your wife is very forgiving:)

 

Additional info: Just heard from DS and he has been trying to do some NCL gifts for me and all is in place...............nice kid. Guess I'll keep him.

I like the idea to physically touch the most important things. We've driven an hour to the airport before, and were settled at the gate, only to realize we'd left the NFL tickets at home to the game we were flying to see. We need to make a point to touch things!

KC, hope you have a fabulous cruise, sorry I`m afraid I missed the boat but I know you will do just fine without someone to haul that fridge full of maple syrup, beer and bacon and all that great stuff... :p

PS, last thing we do is make sure the cats have enough food and their water bowl is full.... all good. ;)

It is so comforting to know that I am not alone in my pre-holiday rituals of:

 

Clean house top to bottom (including refrigerators)

Get mani/pedi

Pay bills and file all paperwork

Laundry

Run dishwasher and put dishes away (hand wash all breakfast dishes!)

Take my doggy to her sleepover with her friend, Angus

Double check with our kitty sitter that she knows our very spoiled cat's schedule

Check that all of the doors are locked once, maybe twice or three times!

Check to make sure that we have all passports and cruise docs

Ask my DH, DS, DD a million times if they have everything that they need!!!!

 

Wow! No wonder I need a holiday! :D
