Traditional Seating in the MDR

This seems like it is probably going to be such a simple question, but on my last cruise (my first cruise ever) we did anytime dining. Feeling like a newbie all over again!

 

How do seat assignments work? When will I know where we are sitting?

A suggestion is to go to the Maitre d' after boarding to check on the location and size of the table. We usually request a large (8-person) table since the chances of people showing up and having people we will enjoy meeting are better. If you find you're at a table and don't like the others at the table or are uncomfortable, go to the Maitre d' and ask to be moved. The first day or two, people are juggled around so you're not asking for anything special or unusual.

I agree, when you board check out the table/location then see the MD if you are not happy
