Where is the best spot for some peaceful, shady relaxation not on the pool deck? Thanks!

During the day Champagne Bar or Boleros.

That would be deck 4, and I agree, that would be a nice place outside to relax. Inside, I'd use Viking Crown as it is very quiet during the day.

The lifeboat deck. Not crowded. Plenty of seating. You can sit on the shady side of the ship. It's mostly quiet.

I would say deck 4 as well, though I'm one to like a bit more traffic. I hung out on the Promenade on 5 a lot. The computer room (Deck 8), if you like that kind of thing, started out as a place of quietude, but got worse toward the end of the 3/23 sailing.

Our favorite place on the ship is deck 4, port side (no smoking).

Deck 4 meets all of your requirements. It is a shady, peaceful, relaxing place. And it is close to the water which I really enjoy.

not shady, but my favorite place is the benches on the helipad.

enjoyed some amazing sunrises and sunsets from up there.

usually only a few people there on sea days.

Vote for deck 4 but I need to try the helipad on the front of the ship!

We normally book an inside cabin and I get my balcony fill by pulling up a chair and relaxing in the shade and close to the water.
