Getaway - back to back

Even though the itinerary doesn't change we're considering a back to back on the Getaway next February.

Can anyone describe the procedure at the Miami turnaround, assuming that we have the same cabin on both cruises.

Our experience on other cruise lines is that it was only necessary to leave the ship, clear US customs, and reboard.

We are also doing a Getaway B2B, (slightly different itineraries) in April next year.

Seeing as we are from Canada as well, I'm particularly interested in the Customs and Immigration answer.

I was told we leave everything in our room,get off the ship and report back in... I know when we did Panama we had to go through Customs in LA cause we continue on to Vancouver.. Miami might be different.. Hi Toronto would love to see you on our cruise we are doing Feb 21 & Feb 28/15..

Yes, you'll just have to exit the ship and clear customs. You'll be given a sticker to wear that you are a returning passenger, you'll have the pools to yourself til the main check in begins! :D

That is how it's generally done, it's been couple of years since our last B2B in Miami but the basic procedure is still the same from what I've read here. You'll wait onboard until all disembarking passengers have left and then you will probably be escorted to immigration as a group and after waiting for a while for the empty ship to be cleared, you are escorted back to the ship.
