Shore excurions with out carseats?

I am sure this has been asked before, but my searches aren't turning up much. We will be traveling with young kids who still need car seats, but we won't be bringing their seats on the ship. We won't be doing any taxis in port. Are there are shore excursions through the ship or not through the ship where all of our travel would be done by boat and / or bus? We will be visiting St. Thomas and St. Martin. Thanks in advance for sharing any ideas you have.

All ships excursions will use a bus....(if not a boat!)...depending on what you do...no carseats needed.

Private excursions, you will need to inquire about the mode of transport....a guidebook will tell you what kind of public transportation there is....so that could be an option, too!
