New Premier Cruise Offers Today

I have been watching for these Premier offers and comparing to what I can get from NCL (2 pp comped balcony runs about $600 total). These deals are not as good due to the timing of the cruises IMO. Since these are primarily summer, the prices are higher, and it says up to $550 off the booking. It seems like the fall ones are up to XX% off the booking (during non peak, trying to fill the boat I assume). The other thing I noticed in the last couple of months is that the regular casino offer (non Premier/extra events & gifts) came from John Heald. I previously thought that the casino alternated between Premier vs. regular, but now I am thinking that the casino guys do the Premier, and corporate/other department does the regular offers. I will hold out for a fall Premier offer, but it would have to be a decent deal to get under what I already have "in the bag" from NCL......just my $0.02. :)

Joe

Joe, in the past I have been getting regular casino offers and the premier offers. When I cruised on Sunshine over New Year's, a casino host told me they are going to stop the regular casino offers. The host told me this when I was provided a casino offer letter on the ship. That casino offer had to be booked within 3 weeks after that cruise. I didn't use it because I had already taken 2 cruises within about 7 weeks time. But sure enough, I have not received another regular casino offer since then. I have only been getting the premier casino offers, and the fares offered on those haven't been that good.

Winddawn,

Thanks for the information! I was somewhat surprised when I saw Heald's name on the latest "regular" offer....maybe somebody thought they should give it another shot for less than full sailings. I am really starting to think that NCL has the better casino type stuff (better VP machines, better comps, etc) but their points are twice as much money......I guess that is the trade off.....harder to get, but worth more....happy sailings to you!

I also agree that the Premier offers are not that great - which is one reason I am doing more future cruises on NCL. We "switched" because we got a free inside cabin on Breakaway for last August from a land-based casino- which we upgraded to a balcony for $900. That was a heck of a bargain, compared to the Premier casino offer we had for Freedom for the exact same week for around $1800 more! Plus we would have had to fly to Florida, so we saved that expense in cruising from NY. I booked the Gem for this August - also upgraded to a balcony for less than CCL is offering for an August Premier sailing. While we don't get the Premier party, etc., we would get on CCL, we get the free drink card and priority boarding - which is great for us. We also just (2 days ago) booked the Epic for Christmas through their CAS program. Got an incredible price (for that ship for that week) for 2 balcony cabins! I was going to go on CCL, but NCL really beat their price by alot. It is usually the other way around!

Pe4all,

I hear you. I was able to use the Kids Sail Free with my comp, so I was able to get all 5 of us in an OV for about $950. Just looking for 2 of us on the existing Premier deal would still be $1500 for an OV....and we go over Labor Day so one less day of PTO and school missed.....I'm not closing the door on all of the Premier offers, just this stinky summer one.....

I had received a "free inside cabin" letter from the casino on the last night of my Conquest cruise. Had 3 weeks to book another cruise, and had to cruise within 6 months. Couldn't pull the trigger in that 3 week period, so I called Player's Club, as I was interested in Splendor for next Feb.'s President's Day week- when I usually cruise. They told me 2015 casino prices/offers aren't out yet - call in August, and to book Splendor, and they would adjust my price if something came out. I did - but if I get a better offer from NCL after my August Gem cruise I might just cancel CCL and re-book with NCL.

I got an email on the offer today. Prices for cabins are very high, but they are upping the ante in Casino cash. It is hard ti refuse $900.

Did you call to see how much cash was offered? It didn't say on my e-mail. And yes, $900 is very hard to refuse!

I was already booked on the October 4th sailing on the Miracle and changing to the Premier Casino cruise rate saved me $200 plus gives me $300 casino cash. So, this does save me $500 and I'm thrilled. The Drinks on Us card isn't as big of a deal to us as it's hard enough to get a drink in the casino and we purchase Cheers anyway.

That happened to us last Halloween, we were already booked on the Magic, then the Casino offer came out and we were able to change to that rate which was about $100 pp lower and we got $250 each casino cash.

I enjoyed all the extra on board perks and gifts, but like I said these prices are crazy. Last October we paid $429 for a 1A PT cabin, this year the only Magic sailing wants $724....I wouldn't pay that under any circumstances.

Like a PP said maybe they are testing the market tolerance, but they have lost me for awhile. I cruised on the Sunshine in February and don't even have another cruise booked because of the prices. This is the first time in almost 10 years that I haven't had at least one future cruise booked.

These premier casino cruises have been awesome for me, I used a free OV for September 2013 and 700.00 in casino cash. December 2013 used it for Christmas and 300.00 casino cash. Now going in April 2014 costing me 202.80 and getting 300.00 casino cash, and so far have booked one in July. Just got the new releases and my take 1 or 2 more.

When my parents have both received cash offers on the Premier cruises, they have both received without booking separate rooms. However, I believe if you call the casino number they are not aware of this and usually tell you that it doesn't happen.

Ok, not to hijack at all, and i'm not dumb, and experianced as you can see from my past cruies.... but what is a premier cruise ???

I did get a mailing last month from carnival for the first time offering me a casino rate... Nothing written on it about premier that i remember... But is that what you all are referring to ?

The Premier Casino cruise is different from the casino rate. I've had the casino rate on a few cruises and gotten a minimal ($25-75) amount of cash along with a reduced cabin rate. With the premier offer, there are only specific sailings and the casino cash is a bit more. You also get the Drinks on Us card for free drinks in the casino while you're playing for you and your cabin mate. They also do little gifts each day...I hear chocolate strawberries, little journals...little things like that. I'm excited about it, it's saving me money!

Hi southbayer! This is not mine, but someone posted some good info and pix on their premier cruises:

The premier cruises are only on specific cruises and they include some perks. They have early embarkation, a welcome aboard cocktail party with free drinks and snacks, drawings in the casino for premier guests only, a slot tournament for premier guests, and gifts delivered to your cabin. I got cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, wine, and two etched wine glasses. You also get a drinks on us card for free drinks while playing in the casino only. Premier cruises are by invitation only. You get an invitation in the mail and you can also see the offer online after you enter your VIFP number on Carnival's website. You also get a reduced cruise fare. Some are better deals than others. Edited by winddawn
Got my offers today too. This is the third set of offers that I've received for premiere cruises. I noticed that it has been showing up online long before I actually get the mailer. So I've been watching and my new set of offers seem to show up online about one week after the old offers book by date ends. Hoping that means next set will be sometime the first week of June maybe for fall offers? Anyone else notice that?
This is the first time I have received a Premier Casino offer . Exactly what is it all about ?? I notice the deal off the price of the cruise I didnt find that great . How do you find out how much casino cash you get ? What else does it include ? Do you get a free On us drink card ?
Any help would be great
No offers for us either. We always use the casino on every cruise but have never gotten any offers. :(
I didn't know and maybe you don't. Go to Carnival site Click on MANAGE, then on the drop down VIP club, new page, click special offers and enter your club # (on SS card) My wife plays way more than me and gets the best offers. My offers are pretty much the regular price you see everywhere.

Pricing for the current Premier Cruises is quite high compared to previous years. I'm not finding them a very good offer and won't be going on one.

My offer came in the snail mail and most of the cruises offered are 7 or 8 days and states I would receive $250 casino cash and that the rates are up to 35% off fun select rates. The only problem with that is the fun select rate is the highest rate there is.

A little loophole in the offer is that even though it says it's for NEW bookings, my PVP last year was able to switch me from an already booked ES booking to the premier cruise casino rate so I had my cheap price but all the extra perks that came with the offer.

The perks last year in addition to the casino cash which everyone in the cabin gets even though the offer is usually only in the name of one person also include the drinks on us card, priority boarding (they even boarded before VIP).

We also had fruit baskets, strawberries and champagne, 12 cookies from the pastry shop, 2 really plush Players Club beachtowels, a tote bag. Cocktail parties, Slot Tournament where the top 10 people are cash winners (I won $80)

We had a blast, but again the cruise rate is just to high this year and after spending $1500 a week between the two of us and doing that 3 or 4 times a year I'm just done with it.

Now that I'm retired I would rather cruise more often and can't afford to dump that much money in the casino. I guess my gambling days are almost over.

You need to come up here to Atlantic City on Spirit Air and spend a week in the sun at the beach walking the boardwalk and cheap rates. I got some offers of under $40 a night at the nicer casinos Sunday through Thursdays :)

I save my gambling money for mostly here at home now. At least they regulate here and we get a lot of comps for food, rooms, free play and some other comps
It showed up on mine and actually one of the dates was the cruise we are planning October 4th on the Miracle. So we are booked and it will be our first Premier Casino cruise!
Vicki, your PVP was correct. My premier offer arrived in snail mail Saturday the 19th, which is almost 2 weeks after it appeared online. And the snail mail info shows the cruise cash dollar amount offer which never shows online. Edited by winddawn
