noro ship

Gotta love the uninformed cruising public. Getting off in a different US port is a violation of the PVSA, which carries a $300 per person fine to CBP, and which the ticket contract states that the line will pass on to the passenger. Nice that Princess is waiving that.

Noro outbreaks happen all the time, and not just on cruise ships. Go to the CDC website, and find all the outbreaks recorded on shore. Yes, there was noro (and it is not confirmed as noro yet) the previous cruise, and there was a deep cleaning before embarkation, but another infected passenger who touches something after it was sanitized can start the whole thing over again.

Love the comment from the travel expert about "food borne illness". USPH regulations have almost removed these from cruise ships, far more so than your local restaurants.

And the total cases is still under 5%, so this is not a major outbreak by any means.
