Hobby to Bayport Transfers

We are taking the Norweigan Jewel out of Houston Bayport on Dec 27. Will be flying into Hobby on Dec 26 and spending the night. Any recommendations about transfers and hotel stays? Should we stay near Hobby for the night or stay closer to the terminal? We have 2 adults and 1 child in our group.

We are planning cruise on Jewel from Houston in Nov. and arriving at Hobby. Suggestions will be appreciated What are some things to do pre-cruise?

We are sailing on the Jewel in Oct. Flying into Hobby and renting a car for 2 days. Staying at a hotel in Webster. Didn't find any hotels with shuttle to the port.
