Grand Princess Plaza 319

Had P239, but this stateroom just opened up (P319). This would get us even closer to the IC for DH's coffee fixes, and to the Piazza when we need to have a nearby place to go out of that inside cabin.

I am a little concerned about the noise, from the casino. Anyone here have any experience being right under the casino?

I have spoken with Princess, but I know I will get the benefit of actual experience from this board so I thank you in advance for your help.

I doubt you will hear it, that location is great, we were in P320 and P325 on the Golden which is basically the same design.

I've cruised in P330 several times... on the Star, Grand, Golden, and Ruby. No noise issues at all and it's so convenient to the IC and that first cup of coffee in the morning! It's been my #1 choice when I go to select a cabin...

I was in P318 on the Star. Love these set of 4 cabins. Very little foot traffic. No one seems to know about these staterooms. Rarely heard any noise from the Art Gallery. I love this location (verses being more forward).

Grab it while you can.

No noise at all. We sailed 14 nts in 318, which is same cabin on the other side of ship. We also sailed 12 nts in 322 which is next door. Fabulous cabins! You''ll love how convenient to IC and MDR's.

This works with the exception of the Botticelli Dining Room on Deck 6 aft. You will need to go up two flights of stairs (deck 7) walk toward the aft, then down a flight of stairs. They almost always seem to assign the traditional diners in this out of the way MDR. This seems to be the main set up for the Star, the Golden, and the Grand.

Unless you opt for EARLY traditional dining at 530PM... then it's mid ship on deck 6.

We were just on the Emerald in P326 and our friends were in P319. We loved being close to the IC and the Piaza. Our friends in P319 said they occassionally heard muffled noises coming from the Art Gallery- they said it sounded like they were sliding pictures out of the storage cupboards as they changed what was on display frequently. It didn't impact their cruise at all, just an observation.

Thanks for the input everyone. We have switched to P319.

As for the walk to the dining room, up one flight across a and then down again - might be just the added exercise we need after being so close to the IC😀

Yes, the midship MDR's are for Anytime Dining on all Grand Class ships, and Traditional Diners go aft to Boticelli. Exception: 5:30 Traditional Diners go midship on Deck 6.
