What kind of experiences have you had on board for updos? I am getting married while in port in Juneau and would like to get my hair done in the ship's salon, rather than leaving it down and straight like always.

 

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't have any experience on updos, but my daughter got her hair cut on the Star in December and we were quite disappointed. They quoted her $40 and then ended up charging her $90. I'm not sure what happened but we were on vacation and just decided to let it go. So just make sure you know the price up front.

 

.......I just asked my daughter and she thinks the price difference was between a dry cut and a wet cut. Also the fact that she was 17 and not a child in their eyes. Anyway, seems like a big price difference to me.

 

Also, the haircut wasn't anything special. Just a trim really.

For and updo...don't go in with freshly washed hair....slightly dirty works best!
