is this traveller app available and how does it work, and where do you get it. thanks in advance

Just for clarification - it is not an app - it works like an app works but you do not have to download anything from the app store. Once your cruise sails, turn your phone/ipad/tablet on airplane mode but turn on wifi and join the MSC DIVINA wifi. Open your browser. A page will open and at the bottom of the page is the option to use their traveler app for free. Click that - it will ask you to put your internet id (on your key card) and to choose a password. It was quite cool but could take a bit to learn. They had a channel on the tv constantly streaming how to use it and what to use it for. I took some photos of the "app" as well and will post them once I gather my wits (just returned yesterday!!)

Leaving on 5/10. What is this used for. Sorry to sound like a dummy, but this is my first MSC cruise and I do not know what its for.

The traveler app is a free onboard service. It allows you to use the onboard wifi (available in certain areas of the ship) to communicate with others onboard that you add as "friends". It also shows the daily events, excursions, hours of bars, shops, etc and your invoice as of two days prior to disembarking. I found it quite useful.
