Hi, I am going on a Carnival Freedom back to back cruise this Sat. I like to dance to oldies music(60's -80's) later in the evening. Does anyone know if the Freedom or similar class ships have this kind of music (either live band or dj) later on in the evening. Thanks in advance for any info. on this! Kendra

I'm on your sailing on the 10th also! This will be my first time on the Freedom but I'm pretty sure they will have at least 80s music in the night clubs before the 11:30 rap stuff begins.

I love dancing in the night club in the evenings!

I was on the Freedom Nov '13 and they had a terrific Asian rock band playing hits from the 60-80's. They played mostly at the Lobby/Atrium bar that has a dance floor.

Nightly, people were lined up along the railings of 3 decks enjoying the music. They rocked it ! :)

Ouch! I didn't realize that the 60's - 80's were considered "oldies" already.

Wonder why a cruise line line like carnival has never considered, to my knowledge, offering cruises or groups based on the the theme of your expected (college) graduation date? Like, say, '62, '63, '64, '65. It means you grew up dancing to the Everly Brothers, Kingston Trio, Joan Baez, early Elvis, etc. Wow, what memories --- even if one of us were an Eastern liberal, say, and the other a 'show me' Midwesterner.
