djkk Posted April 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Hi All, I can't find something I remember reading here about downpayments on a cabin. Do I need to put down money for all four of us now on a cabin for December 2014? I'd rather not tie up $1000.00 when I'm not sure we're going. I want to book Anthem now in case prices go up. Thanks! You would have to put down a deposit for every guest on the reservation. The only ways I know to minimize deposits are to book during a WOW sale (don't know when the next one is), book on board another cruise, or use a Net Cruise certificate. djkk Posted April 28, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Bob/Clarea, Thanks for your quick response. I guess I'll bite the bullet.
leaveitallbehind Posted April 28, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Other than with the exceptions mentioned by clarea, a deposit for each person on a reservation is SOP. However, all deposits are refundable or transferable prior to final payment. Note that if you are using a TA you should have a conversation with them first to determine if they have separate fees for initiating, modifying, or cancelling a booking (other than those imposed directly by RCI) and if they do, I would move on to another who doesn't.
