CarnivalLIVE...how does it work?

If you book a CarnivalLIVE cruise, is the concert included in your price, or do you have to get separate tickets? and if that's the case, how much for a ticket? also how many performance will they have on a cruise? (depending on the duration)

The cost is not included in your cruise fare, you purchase it like an excursion. I'm not sure of the exact cost but I think it's $20 - $40 for general admission and $100+ for reserved VIP seating in the 1st 3 rows with a M&G and signed picture.

There is only one performance, the band is not sailing with you. From what I've read the concerts take place while in ports like Nassau and Cozumel. I know the one I read about in Coz occurred in the early evening and the ship didn't sail until 11pm.

The band will board the ship in the port where the concert is--they do not cruise. The ticket for the concert is extra, but it's pretty reasonable ($20-$100 depending on type). They only do one show while you're in port.

Once you book your cruise, you can purchase the tickets as part of the excursion system.

My concern with them is if they limit the other onboard venue's since the ship is still in port. I have no desire to go to one of these concerts, but I want the shops and casino and comedy club and regular dinner service to take place and I don't think they would be, so I would likely not book a cruise that had a concert.

Then pick another sailing. There are more cruises that don't have have the concerts than do. I think it is a nice option to have.
