Mybubbles65 Posted May 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) I went on a carnival cruise about 10 years ago. At that time they gave away free sea sickness pills. I had taken gravol and that didn't work. Whatever they handed out worked really well. I'm going on a cruise next year and would like to buy some of this medication but have no idea what it was. Any idea? Edited May 2, 2014 by Mybubbles65

Sold in the US as Bonine.
sail7seas Posted May 2, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2014 You may be thinking of meclizine which is the generic of bonine. Some states in U.S. sell it over the counter but Massachusetts requires an Rx. Some ships give it away at infirmary and front office.
dorisis Posted May 2, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 2, 2014 Dramamine is frequently given out.
Dayenu Posted May 2, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 2, 2014 I remember seeing Dramamine on the cruise website. I cannot take it, so have to remember to bring Bonine.
