bouhunter Posted May 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 4, 2014 Several posts here have reported it almost empty often on some ships. If that's the case you wouldn't have trouble getting in.
debbs0723 Posted May 4, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted May 4, 2014 Thanks. We love sushi but it will be a game time decision when our kids are busy and my parents aren't with us because they do not like paying for specialty restaurants. I, however, have no issues paying $3 per person and over ordering a bunch of sushi as usual for the prices I've seen posted. I know, technically, we have already paid for our food on a cruise ship but there is nowhere in the Houston area where I could find sushi at those prices. Clarea Posted May 4, 2014 #8 Share Posted May 4, 2014 Or you could just say yes it is. Not just sushi. They also have the hot rock grill items, tempura, salads, soups.
Harooni Posted May 4, 2014 #9 Share Posted May 4, 2014 the quality didnt look so good to me so i had sushi off the ship at port for lunch
SamFritz Posted May 4, 2014 #10 Share Posted May 4, 2014 I thought the quality was very good. I think the main reason it's not so busy is because it's tucked away from all the other venues on the ship. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
happymoes Posted May 4, 2014 #11 Share Posted May 4, 2014 So if we paid $30 each for dinner it's still al a carte? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Clarea Posted May 4, 2014 #12 Share Posted May 4, 2014 So if we paid $30 each for dinner it's still al a carte? Not sure I understand the question. Have you paid $30 for Izumi already?
spookwife Posted May 4, 2014 #13 Share Posted May 4, 2014 Or you could just say yes it is. NO IT IS NOT. the menu has been discussed many a time here on CC and you could have searched and found the answer in less time than it took to post the question and wait for a reply. spookwife Posted May 4, 2014 #14 Share Posted May 4, 2014 So if we paid $30 each for dinner it's still al a carte? Sent from my iPhone using Forums yes, and no. part of that cover charge includes a credit towards the al a carte pricing. nothing is more than $15( hot rock meal sets) I know when we did the dinner package( Chops, Izumi, Giovanni's and chef's table) we received a $20 'credit' at Izumi.. 5 for the cover charge and 15 to spend on sushi/etc. alcohol is of course extra. I found it to be the least pedantic of the sushi options outside of Tokyo we have encountered.
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted May 4, 2014 #15 Share Posted May 4, 2014 It's not just sushi. I've only had to pay around £6 (UK reservation = $10) to reserve a place at Izumi on Legend for next month Not Sure why you would pay $30.

marklodi Posted May 5, 2014 #22 Share Posted May 5, 2014 Again, to clarify, the dinner charge at Izumi's is only $5 per person, not $15 - just restating to avoid confusion. :D

Clarea Posted May 5, 2014 #25 Share Posted May 5, 2014 Does anyone have a menu wih prices, the menu on the website is great but does have any prices. Unfortunately, Royal removed the prices from their puiblished menu, so there is no official menu with prices anymore.
