Occupancy load?

Does Oceania reservations provide up to date accurate information as to how full a specific sailing in the future is? I would think that this would determine whether they will be offering any special 'discounts or perks'; revisions on their orginal stated costs as described in their brochures.

One more comment, why does Oceania, or any other cruise line for that matter, bother posting on line or in their glossy costly brochures what they term 'brochure fares'? Is this done to let the consumer believe that they are getting a 'major discount' on a specific sailing? Does anyone really EVER pay the 'brochure fare"?

My basic question is what are the odds of Oceania 'legitimately' reducing a fare

[ not like happened 2 weeks ago with a reported fare reduction which was subsquently corrected due to an 'IT glitch":( PLEASE! ] on the intitial fare that is posted in their brochure?

Appreciate any thoughts?

Last question: are there seperate mens and womens steam/saunas on the Marina/ Riviera that are of no cost to use for passengers...what are thei hours that they are open and are they also available while in port?

Thank you so much!

There are Steam rooms/ Saunas for both men and women, in the semicircular area at center of the Gymnasium Complex, and it they are available from 8AM to 8PM daily (even on Port Days).

Brochure fares are a joke and are often hard to compare with TA prices. For capacity info, you may be able to get it from your TA. There are also some TA websites that allow you to look at cabins available. One problem is that the cruise line does not release all cabins to outside agencies for sale but this happens when the cruise is close to full. Also if it is not selling well the website will list only a few of the cabins available. You can see this is happening if the same number of available cabins show up in each cabin class.

The best time to look is to see the inventory available is to look the day after the payment is due. On some cruises there are a lot of last minute low cost cancellations.

My experience on perks is that you will get them from TAs that have committed to sell a number of cabins on a specific cruise or cruise lines.

Not quite sure whether you are saying that the steam/sauna are coed or one steam/sauna for men and women?

I believe they are separate rooms

I did see the door to the steam room but never checked it out

There are both mens and womens Steam and Sauna facilities, in conjunction with Showers, Rest Rooms and Locker Rooms, which are also segregated by sex.
