Lindypops Posted May 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2014 We live in the Uk but will be spending a month in Florida later this year. What would be the best way of finding a last minute cruise deal when we are in the USA? Should we call the cruise company direct or is there a good website we could us or should we contact a travel agent near where we are staying? thanks

Here's a link to a list of Celebrity Exciting Deals promotions, which is published most every week : http://www.creative.rccl.com/Sales/Exciting_Deals/XcitingDeals_cel_tues.pdf As for TA recommendations, we are not allowed to discuss specific TA's, but if I may suggest, Google is your friend :). I hope this helps !
Lindypops Posted May 9, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted May 9, 2014 thanks for the link Andy. I was not really asking for recommendations but more for people's experiences getting last minute deals. here in the UK it is often better to go through a local travel agent than contact the cruise line directly . neptuno Posted May 17, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 17, 2014 The '90-day ticker' is the best reference I have found. Any one with other suggestiions?
lovespositano Posted May 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 19, 2014 The '90-day ticker' is the best reference I have found. Any one with other suggestiions? Not to disparage the 90 day ticker, but the prices on that website are not necessarily the cheapest (actually, hardly EVER). Check all of your favorite on-line travel agents and then decide. Check all of your favorite on-line travel agents and then decide. They are from the UK. They don't have any "favourite" online TA's in the US
Biker19 Posted May 19, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 19, 2014 ^ but when it's 80% it has to be a bargain, right? The Celebrity Tuesday specials are bargains. Besides some groups rate that only certain TAs have, everyone else has the same prices (but varying preks).
neptuno Posted May 19, 2014 #8 Share Posted May 19, 2014 (edited) Not to disparage the 90 day ticker, but the prices on that website are not necessarily the cheapest (actually, hardly EVER). Check all of your favorite on-line travel agents and then decide. Totally agree, not always the lowest, but a very easy to use reference. We found our current Celebrity booking on the 90-day ticker, then shopped and found another TA offering a larger OBC for the same sailing. Booked it.
