Regal mini-suites

Can anyone tell me their favorite mini-suite on the Royal/Regal princess ships?

My choices would be Baja or Caribe 409,410,414,415,416,417,426,427,428,429. All of these MA minisuites have larger balconies, and are far enough below the Skyview/Bar that privacy is not a concern. Check the deckplans to get an idea of the relative sizes. If you are doing a TA you might want to chose port or starboard, depending on direction and route.

The negative is that all these cabins are closest to the midships elevators, which could be a hassle.

Having booked one of these cabins on a future Regal cruise, wondering why being near the elevators was a hassle? Noise? thanks

Because there is no central staircase for passengers, these elevators get heavy use. There have been complaints about long waits and crowded cars. I thought the problems were minor on the Royal TA last year, but others have had serious concerns.

We had B428 on a Royal TA last year and it was absolutely perfect. It had an angled balcony which made it much larger than most, was under the Sea View Bar which provided much more privacy than the Skywalk and was in the center of the ship. We did not experience that many problems with the mid-ship elevators, or maybe we just went with the flow. No rush...you're on vacation.

Hi,

We cruised aboard the Regal Princess in June and had a mini-suite (R415) that we really liked. The location was great and we enjoyed the larger angled balcony that had an excellent view. Although our balcony was only two decks below the SeaWalk, this was never a problem. We liked being located only two decks below the Horizon Court. The lack of the central staircase was sometimes an issue during peak times (crowded central elevators). However, we avoided this by using the forward or aft stairs if necessary.

The Royal Princess and Regal Princess are beautiful ships.

We were in C414, angled balcony mini suite. Very nice cabin but it is mid ship on Caribe deck 10. We usually walked forward or aft to catch elevators due to no center staircase. The cabin was quiet and comfortable. I would be more than happy to book it again.

We had B416 on the Royal and loved the mini suite, larger angled balcony and being under the Seaview Bar rather than the Seawalk. Baja is far enough down that privacy is not a problem and we had no problem with the midship elevators except for a couple of times, before and after Muster drill. We loved those mini suites so much that we have them booked for our next toe cruises--one on the Royal and the other on the Regal. We are on Caribe deck for both cruises.
