R&S Posted May 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2014 We booked the September 2015 Wine Country Coastal Coastal Cruise on the Coral Princess. We have been on the Wine Country Coastal before (Sapphire Princess) and loved the ports. One thing we noticed is the September 2015 cruise does not include the port of Santa Barbara as all the other Wine cruises have done. Not a deal breaker but we will certainly miss the opportunity to enjoy the Santa Barbara area. Maybe Princess felt only one sea day made the cruise to port intensive so they added another one. Enjoy your cruise,

Enjoy your cruise, Thanks for alerting us to this change in the wine country coastal itineraries. Sometimes fog creates delays tendering into port however I always enjoy the day in Santa Barbara. Even though we only live about an hour away it's still nice to do wine tasting & other things such as visiting the Santa Barbara Mission.
Working 2 Cruise Posted May 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 17, 2014 There are plenty of coastal cruises with Santa Barbara... I'll be on one in October. What the Coral is doing is a repo cruise, changing itineraries from Alaska to the Panama Canal. Ships are repositioning and thus ports are fewer. I agree, we live close too and it's one of our favorite ports.
