The best inside cabin ever....

I would like to know what inside cabin did you have that your really liked.

We have been in Insides three times.

One on the far forward of the Dream. Upper Deck. Right before you get to the "secret Deck" on that deck. Not the ones with OV (but obstructed) in the front of the bow. These are down the hall....two of them..the last inside cabins on that deck. The door to the secret deck is just steps away.

It was Totally quiet. My husband likes to be outside some, & it was like one minute to get out to the deck. No one was ever out there, or very seldom. They had a bench like thing to sit on.

That was one of the best cruises we took. it was a very good cabin. I would book it again. And I am prone to sea sickness. Not one time in that cabin.

Worst....We did have one of the Insides with the obstructed view on the Upper Deck. 6004 I think.......The Glory I was so seasick I could not get out of bed. I would crawl to the Casino...sit at the bar and drink a coke. It was not open but the bartender let me sit there. Horrible !! s I was too stupid to take pills. Next time I was sick..On Princess....a nurse gave me some and surprise They worked just fine.

Which inside cabin did you really like? Thank you.

For us there are 2.

1st ones are the 4Es. These are on deck 6 or 7. They are cabins that are down the center isle. There are usually only 12 to 18 per deck. There are only a few ships that have these style cabins. They are configured different and have more room. All are midship.

2nd ones are the inside cabins with the walk away view. They are totally forward. They have a beautiful window that over looks the front of the sip. The V of the ship. Only problem is they have to have the curtains pulled at night due to navigational reasons. They are big and beautiful.

Now they are just my opinions.

We have had insides on the Lido deck (Princess and Carnival) loved the location, but with no light, it was easy to sleep in. We are going to have a spa inside on the Breeze in 6 days, so can let you know about that when we get back.

What is the difference between a inside and one with a obstructed view?

Your view is blocked by something. ie lifeboat.

If the cabin is inside how would a life boat block the view? There is no view with a inside cabin because there are no windows or port holes, it is inside.

An outside cabin could have a obstructed view because it has a window or porthole.

the 4j cabins are classified as interior but they have a window that looks out onto the deck that the secret doors open out to. We have had these cabins many times and love them.

We are booked in an "inside" cabin with French Doors. It's obviously on the outside but considered an inside. We'll have a view of the life boats, but can get light and fresh air.

We have one coming up next year and looking forward to it. Strange how it is classified as inside.

My favorites are also on "Spirit Class" ships, 4K cabins. These are the "French Door" cabins, and offer the best of all worlds, IMO. Fresh air, natural light, sounds of the sea, and all for a Very Reasonable Price!

No cabin alone can be blamed for seasickness. Forward cabins have more motion; higher cabins have more motion; aft cabins have more vibration; different class ships move differently and that all depends on the seas on any given day.

Anyway, I absolutely LOVED 7345 on Conquest. Don't tell, but it's a 1A that has 2 beds on the floor like any other inside. Great location.

Also really liked E183 (another 1A that's upper/lower; I sail solo a lot) on Fantasy class ships. Very convenient to the "secret" back stairs that go up to Serenity Deck and then to Lido.

Also had 2217 on Glory, which is classified as a 1A (twin bed/single sofa) but has portholes. One night with severe wave slamming noise and shaking but other than that, very good cabin for the pride. Have booked that cabin for Splendor to Bermuda.

I like inside cabins. I like it dark when I'm sleeping. I've had insides on most of my cruises.

I had a French door cabin booked for Pride but moved to an aft balcony for $15. I still want one of them some day.

Love the 4K (French Door) cabins on the Spirit Class ships. Really love the 4J's. Had them on both our Glory cruises, and have them for both our upcoming Liberty and Breeze cruises!! :)

I just booked one of the 4J "inside" cabins facing the bow. We'll see how it goes in November.

You will love the cabin. The short walk to the secret deck is very nice. But I would take some Sea Sick avoidance something.. patches. pills.

You feel the motion. My husband was totally fine. It was just me.

I had a 4J on Victory. It was the end cabin on Empress, was very small and odd layout (beds don't go together but I was with DD; HC modified so nice, big bathroom).

Loved the outdoor deck, but it was too windy to be out there while sailing, and the door slamming was awful. It woke me at all hours.

I don't know what it is with people allowing doors to slam. Good grief. It really isn't that difficult to just hold the door until it closes. That takes, what, about 5 extra seconds of your precious time?

Does anyone know anything about the large size insides on Deck 3 on the Sunshine. Is that just an Urban legend?

We had an obstructed balcony twice on the Legend. I know it is not an inside but like the French Door Insides...they are a huge bargin. Ours was on the Upper Deck. it was very quiet. My husband sat out a lot, and he had a view. it was over the lifeboat, but we could see coming in to port and things like that. The Pride is going to be in Tampa, and I would like to try one of the French Doors.

I loved #2445 on the Triumph. Classified as a 1A but has two oceanview windows.

Cabin 6275 on the Conquest is supposed to be a 1A cabin with two beds on the floor. I read that in a review on Cruise Addicts, I think.

. And I think it has portholes. Not sure about that.

Is that right.. does anyone know? That sounds like a really good deal.

and the Deck 3 Cabins on the Sunshine which are inside but supposed to be very large. Anyone have experience.?

thanks for the information

I'll give an answer a bit different than the others.

4S on the Magic are some nice cabins. They are standard size, have no view, nor have anything unique besides they are classified as Spa Cabins. These give you access to the Cloud 9 Spa for the duration of your cruise as well as a few small amenities within the cabin. It's the spa access that really sells this however...

Ladies - you know what this is all about. But guys...if you are active and get the sore muscles? The array of steam rooms, large therapy pool, heated tables, and large showers really are a nice benefit. We've re-booked for another round in these gems.
