Toad Posted May 31, 2014 #101 Share Posted May 31, 2014 I see you said you started cruising in late '80s ... was his first HAL cruise in the 2000 to 2003 or early 2004 range?. Bingo, I think you are right, it was about 2000.
AlexandNessa Posted May 31, 2014 #102 Share Posted May 31, 2014 Do all of your days accumulate to the old 04 number? Remember when HAL had us verify our cruises prior to their introduction of their new Mariner Program? I entered all the cruises from Miss Nessa's 04 # and I got credit for Mrs. Nessa's 06#. I just never bothered to tell them to delete the old number. The 04 old Mariner # has not accumulated anything since I've assumed the 06 Mariner ID. Or at least Miss Nessa still gets mailings indicating that she is 2*, where Mrs. Nessa is 3*.

So all you need is something in your maiden name and something in your married name. Then two stars + three stars would make you a five star Mariner! :)

Dismomx5 Posted June 1, 2014 #105 Share Posted June 1, 2014 DH and I have yet to cruise (6 weeks today!), and we booked last November following a HAL presentation in the city. Our mariner numbers begin with 290 and have 9 digits. CheckSum worked for both, and I know you explained it (and I read the blurb), but I still don't understand. LOL :p
