We are considering booking a cruise this summer that includes our 1 year old granddaughter.

#1 Does Explorer puree food?

#2 Do they have pack n plays?

#3 My son and his wife also have a 5 year old. Do they have cabins large enough for a pack n play with a pull out sofa?

Thank you.

They used to puree...but a 1 year old should be able to eat "fork mashed" foods pretty well...and there are plenty of things that can be mashed and squished into baby food! They do make handheld grinders for baby food...that could be a good option if you think you'll need to do that.

Yes, they provide P&Ps....request at time of booking!

The space in the cabin will depend on which type of cabin they book...so check the sq. footage on the deck plans. With a sofa bed AND a P&P, it's going to be tight, unless they book a JS or larger. I would simply let the 5 year old sleep ON the sofa (not made into a bed), for more room!

Thank you - it has been so long since we have had a baby around - I don't remember when they transition out of pureed food. I have been sitting her pricing out and on one of the cruises there is a Junior Suite available for son's family. It is out of NY going on a 5 night to Bermuda.

Royal Caribbean's junior suites (JS) are very good for a family with a pack and play. They have a walk in closet which is just the right size to fit the pack and play. So the rest of the family can walk around and have the lights on etc after the little one goes to bed.
