sugarpink Posted May 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2014 Hi, Has anyone discovered a way to trade airline miles for cruises? I have a lot of American Airlines miles, but I do not want to fly long-haul trips anymore. I would rather cruise. All suggestions are welcome! sapete Posted May 31, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2014 Just curious, have you contacted American to see if what you looking for exists?
sugarpink Posted May 31, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted May 31, 2014 (edited) I have checked with AA and you cannot use their miles to book a cruise through them. Thanks Edited May 31, 2014 by sugarpink fix word

mapsmith Posted June 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 1, 2014 Although the conversion stinks, you can use Points dot com to move points from one loyalty program to another. There are ways to do it but not good exchange rates. I think the best is to convert AA miles into Hilton Points and then use Hilton points to book with RCI. For questions like this, it is probably better to go to the experts in Frequent Flyer Miles. That would be Flyertalk or Milepoint, or one of the many blogs that are referenced there.
